ZEOLITE MEMBRANE SCIENCE IS A WELL-KNOWN POWERFUL TOOL IN DELICATE SEPARATION PURPOSES BECAUSE OF THEIR REGULAR STRUCTURE THAT IS KNOWN AS MOLECULAR SIEVE. MEMBRANE GAS SEPARATION (GS) IS A PRESSURE-DRIVEN PROCESS WITH DIFFERENT INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS THAT REPRESENT ONLY A SMALL FRACTION OF THE POTENTIAL APPLICATIONS IN THE GAS REFINERY PLANTS AND CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES. IN THE RECENT YEARS, MANY EFFORTS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED FOR DEVELOPMENT OF VARIETY AND QUALITY OF ZEOLITE MEMBRANES FOR SEPARATION AND CATALYTIC APPLICATION. IN THE SEPARATION OF SMALL GASEOUS MOLECULES, ZEOLITE MEMBRANES WITH THE SMALL PORE SIZE ARE USED. ANALCIME (ANA) ZEOLITE CRYSTALS SHOWS A TYPICAL NANOPOROUS THREE DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURE WITH IRREGULAR CHANNELS (0.42 0.16 NM) OF HIGHLY DISTORTED 8- RINGS. IN THIS WORK, WE HAVE INVESTIGATED ON MOLECULAR SIEVE PROPERTIES OF NANOPOROUS ANA ZEOLITE MEMBRANES. THE ANA ZEOLITE MEMBRANE IS SYNTHESIZED ON NEUTRAL CERAMIC POROUS SUPPORT USING HYDROTHERMAL SECONDARY GROWTH METHOD. THE MEMBRANES IS USED FOR SEPARATION OF VARIOUS GASES WITH PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO THE SELECTIVE SEPARATION OF HYDROGEN GAS. EVALUATION OF MEMBRANE PERMEANCE AND IDEAL SEPARATION FACTOR IS DONE BY SEPARATION OF VARIOUS GASES SUCH AS H2, CH4, CO2 AND N2 USING ACCURATE EXPERIMENTAL APPARATUS. CRYSTALLINE PHASE OF ZEOLITIC LAYERS HAVE BEEN CHARACTERIZED BY XRD ANALYSIS.

چکیده: 

در این کار تحقیقاتی عوامل موثر بر جداسازی مشتقات مختلف تک استخلافی و دو استخلافی نیترو تولوئن به روش کروماتوگرافی گازی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. شرایط جداسازی ترکیب های 2- نیترو تولوئن (2NT )، 4- نیترو تولوئن ((4NT، 2 و 3- دی نیترو تولوئن ((2,3DNT، 2 و 4- دی نیترو تولوئن (2 (2,4DNT و  6- دی نیتروتولوئن ( (2,6DNTو 3 و 4- دی نیتروتولوئن ((3,4DNT به همراه مقادیر بهینه پارامتر های جداسازی گزارش شده است. مقدار بهینه سرعت جریان گاز حامل برابر ml/min 20-30 و مقدار تزریق 0.3 µl می باشد. برای حصول جداسازی مناسب، برنامه حرارتی هم دما مناسب نمی باشد بنابراین از سیستم برنامه ریزی حرارتی (T1=80 °C، t1=6S سرعت پیمایش °C/min 30، °C T2=240، t2=6S) ثانیه استفاده گردید.

IN THIS RESEARCH, MIXED MATRIX MEMBRANES (MMMS) BASED ON MATRIMID AND POLY ETHER BLOCK AMIDE (PEBAX) POLYMERS WERE PREPARED AND THEIR PROPERTIES WERE INVESTIGATED. THE EXPERIMENTS RELATED TO THE PERMEATION OF MEMBRANES WERE PERFORMED AND RESULTS SHOWED THE ENHANCED GAS SEPARATION PROPERTIES OF THE MMMS COMPAIRING TO THE PRISTINE MEMBRANES. THE PERMEATION TESTS OF THE MEMBRANES WERE CARRIED OUT FOR BOTH PURE AND MIXED CO2/CH4 GASES. THE CHARACTERIZATION OF PERMEATE/RETENTATE GASES IN MIXED GASES SERIES OF MEMBRANE SEPARATION TESTS WAS PERFORMED USING A GAS CHROMOTOGRAPHY INSTRUMENT. STRUCTURAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE MEMBRANES AND THEIR THRMAL BEHAVIOR WERE INVESTIGATED BY USING SEM, TGA AND THE RESULTS WERE DISCUSSED.

INTRODUCTION THE REMOVAL OF ACIDIC GASES SUCH AS CARBON DIOXIDE AND HYDROGEN SULFIDE VIA USING ADSORBENT MATERIALS IS A PROMISING APPROACH IN THE NATURAL GAS INDUSTRY. MEANWHILE, NANOPOROUS CARBONS (NPCS), DUE TO THEIR PREDOMINATELY MICRO AND MESOPOROUS FEATURES AND LARGE SPECIFIC SURFACE AREAS, HAVE BEEN EXTENSIVELY STUDIED AS ADSORBENTS FOR GAS SEPARATIONS. AN IDEALIZED SLIT-LIKE STRUCTURE HAS BEEN FREQUENTLY USED AS A MODEL SYSTEM TO STUDY THE CHARACTERISTICS OF EQUILIBRIUM ADSORPTION AS WELL AS DIFFUSION IN POROUS CARBON. RECENTLY, IT WAS SHOWN THAT COMPARED TO THE FLAT SLIT, A CONSTRICTED SLIT (C-SLIT) MODEL CAN BETTER PREDICT THE ADSORPTIVE AND DIFFUSIVE PROPERTIES OF METHANE IN NPCS. IN THIS RESEARCH, THE SEPARATION OF CO2 AND H2S FROM THEIR MIXTURES WITH METHANE AS THE MAJOR COMPONENT OF NATURAL GAS IS EXAMINED BY C-SLIT MODEL OF NPCS.

Gas separation by a membrane is performed without phase changing, leading to cost reduction. This study investigates the process of gas separation in the case of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and polysulfone (PSF) blend membranes. The ratios of polymers to mixed matrix membranes include 100% PAN, 100% PSF, (95% PAN{5% PSF), (90% PAN{10% PSF), (85% PAN{15% PSF). The best combination of membrane mixtures was determined. Then, iron oxide nanoparticles with di erent weight percentages were placed on the membrane. The impact of adding di erent amounts of iron oxide nanoparticles to the membrane on gas separation was examined. By adding iron oxide nanoparticles to the membrane by 10% weight and measuring the value of permeability, it was observed that the permeability of this membrane for carbon dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen, and methane gases increased by 117%, 137%, 95%, and 53% compared to membranes without iron oxide nanoparticles. Based on the ndings, it was revealed that the optimal value of adding iron oxide to improve the membrane properties was 10% by weight.

IN RECENT YEARS, THERE HAS BEEN A DRAMATIC INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF RESEARCH STUDIES CARRIED OUT ON THE SEPARATION OF GASES BY NANOCOMPOSITE MEMBRANES. BESIDES, A LOT OF WORKS HAVE FOCUSED ON IMPROVING THE SEPARATION PERFORMANCE AS WELL AS THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THESE MEMBRANES. NANOCOMPOSITE MEMBRANES THAT COMPOSED OF AN INTRINSIC POLYMER MATRIX WITH INORGANIC (NANO) FILLERS AS DISPERSED MATERIALS, HAVE BEEN INVESTIGATED TOO. THESE MEMBRANES HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION FOR TRADE-OFF PROBLEM OF POLYMERIC MEMBRANES BECAUSE THEY POSSESS A COMBINATION OF PROPER PROPERTIES OF BOTH THE NANOSCALE INORGANIC PARTICLE AND POLYMER MATRIX SUCH AS GOOD PERMEABILITY, SELECTIVITY, MECHANICAL STRENGTH AND THERMAL AND CHEMICAL STABILITY[1]. THIS PAPER FIRST GIVE AN OUTLINE OF THE CONCEPT AND THE KEY ADVANCES OF NANOCOMPOSITE MEMBRANES WITH INORGANIC FILLERS. SUBSEQUENTLY, RECENT DEVELOPMENTS ARE PRESENTED. FURTHERMORE THE PREPARATION TECHNIQUES AND STRUCTURES OF NANOCOMPOSITE MEMBRANES WITH INORGANIC FILLERS, THEIR APPLICABILITY TO GAS SEPARATION ARE REVIEWED [2]. THE SELECTION OF SUITABLE TYPES OF INORGANIC FILLER SUCH AS SILICA, ZEOLITE, METAL OXIDE NANOPARTICLES AND CARBON NANOTUBE AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THE RESULTED MMM MEMBRANES ARE DISCUSSED AND REPRESENTED THE MAJOR CONTRIBUTION IN THIS PAPER [3].
